'A online radio' app = battery failurez

Just an FYI to everyone out there.

I was looking for an app to stream internet radio (radio danz.com) and tried out, A online radio. It worked great.

The only problem was that it sucks the living daylights out of my evo battery. Installed last night, and used it. This morning my battery was dead in 4 hours! used ATK to shut it down, but it kept opening and drained the crap out of my battery again. UNistalled it and battery useage went back to normal.

Good app, but poor efficiency.

Any app that requires continuous data transfer over the network is going to suck the life out of your battery really fast. I'm surprised you got 4 hours out of it

it wasnt streaming while i had it on tho. I turned stream off, plus shut it down.

Oh that makes more sense. Sounds like a bad app in that case.

Sounds more like a bad app like Cory mentioned. Today I listened to pandora for about 5 hours on my evo while at work and still had 50-60% battery left.

I usually just plug my cell phone in when I use intensive apps.
