    i love this -

"Personal organizer must be practical. And it must be good appearance." You may well think these when you look for personal organizer in stationery shop.

There have never been more practical schedule management application in mobile terminal than paper organizer.

This personal organizer application "Jorte" is pursued to have a look and feel of real paper personal organizer, design to be both good appearance and practical use.

We think practical use as primary thing. Once you touch this application, You would feel "Oh, I want to use this!"

no shiit. i wasn't making fun of the developer's English. i have the utmost respect for him given the great free software he produces. my point was that i love the methodology and mission behind creating the software. to model it after a paper calendar you'd find in a stationary store - only better.

It will still synch with your Outlook. Once you select the Google synch, you can view all of the other calendars you have (Oulook, Google, Exchange, etc). They only tell you that because it needs to connect with the Google one to allow you to see the rest. In the options, you can filter all of the other calendars out that you do not need by unchecking them.

This app does not replace the built in one, it reads from the same calendar file that is on your phone currently. If you add an appointment in Jorte and then open your built in calendar that came with your phone, you'll see that entry. It's not really a "synch".

EDIT: Once you install Jorte and tell it to synch with Google, while in the app press your Menu button then select Options. In options, click on "Settings". In settings, scroll down to "Default Calendar" and select your PC Synch one. That will ensure that every entry you make goes into that calendar without having to constantly select it.
    Hope that makes sense.
I have a Moto Droid. I followed these directions and I cannot figure out how to show my outlook exchange calendar. Jorte seems better than the stock calendar, but if I can't show my exchange calendar then it is worthless.

In my list of calendars, one item is "Exchange." That's the one I have selected, not "PC Sync." Works for me.

You can set reminders in by taping "show details". Then Reminders. There will be an audio alert and a calendar icon on the notifications bar. Works great.

First I was just playing with Jorte and there is an option for National Holidays. It looks like you can “Acquire” them. I am unsure how that work as I do it a different way, listed below. I wanted to mention this for others that may want to try it that way.

The way I prefer to do it, and I think the best way, is to make your own holidays and sports calendars. The ones Google provides are great but not always accessible to many apps.

So I created a calendar for each sports team and one for holidays. I get the data and export that to an iCal (or .cvs file in a pinch) I then simply import that iCal file into each calendar.

The best reason to do this is it works great and you can turn them on/off within each app including Jorte!

I'm a long time DateBook user coming to the Evo after numerous years with Palm

What a great find this was for me. Thank you to the OP

I'm still holding out hope that Pimlico makes DateBook for Android but right now this app has me pumped.

Does anyone know of a tutorial or general overview on the best way to set it up and integrate with the "cloud" (Looks like it syncs with Google Calendar)?

Also, how are you guys/gals setting it up on one of the home screens and can "Note Everything" integrate with it? Or, does it have a good enough note program already?

I just found this calendar app last night, and I must say I like it much better than the stock and seems to perform just as good if not better than pure calendar.

Not sure what you mean by support, but the install package includes maybe a dozen different widgets that display data in different formats. If you mean will other widgets show Jorte data, I think Jorte uses the standard calendar database, so any widget should work.

I really like this app. Is there a way to make the calendar view take the whole screen instead of just about 3/4 of it by default?

What setting am I missing? I added something to Jorte for July 10, but it never would sync to my Google calendar. I even manually force synced my phone. The other widget I purchased didn't seem to have this problem. I am trying Jorte because I like the UI better (boy, do I miss Datebk from pda). I had to go to Google calendar on pc and add it, then it showed up in Jorte (I deleted the repeat on my phone).

At right bottom corner there is 2 icons. Touch the one that looks like a square and it will change layout.

Thanks, i got that. But when I go back, it reverts back to the 3/4 view on my Incredible screen. Im looking to have the calendar fill the screen permanently and not having to press on it first

Trying this out. I added the monthly widget to a screen but when tapping a day, it brings up the actual app....

So trying to view what's actually going on in any given day is two presses (one on the widget, which brings up the calendar application, and then I have to click on the day again to see the actual events).

That can't be right, can it?

I have somehow managed to duplicate almost all of my google calandar to Jorte and I have not been able to figure out how to delete the duplicates.

I have tried to delete the appointments on Google calandar with the hope that Jorte would pick up the changes and remove them but it only did this with one of the 3 duplicate appointments. So now I have only 2 dupes instead of 3.

I would like to delete everything and start fresh but with google calandar that doesnt seem to be possible.
I have tried to uninstall and clear any data remaining on my Incredible but while Google calandar looks ok on the web when I reinstall Jorte on my phone everything is still messed up.

I really like this app but this is a really annoying situation I have put myself into... Does anyone have any ideas of what I might be able to do to resolve this?
