This might be related to installing Lookout last night, but I notice that my kernel is consuming 4.7% batter, followed by android system at 4.1%.

gSam Battery Montior shows Android System held awake for 6 minutes in last 3 hours. The next biggest is gmail at 2 minutes.

I notice that Lookout is listed as an "ongoing" process in my pull down notification.

I think I'll uninstall Lookout and screen shot some base lines, but I figured I'd ask if this sounds normal?

Do antivirus apps drain battery, or does it only scan on newly installed apps?

    Any thoughts?

(I'll ask a separate question about AV in a separate thread).

    Thanks,
    Mike

Lookout will occasionally scan every app along with the regular new app installs. Together, those would cause battery usage to increase.

BTW, I should have mention I'm rocking the new Galaxy S3 on ATT.
