To send text, vlingo seems to be best because the mic button is large, and she doesn't have to fuss with typing it.

I'm experimenting with one reader which does not do threading (just a sequential list with PREV / NEXT. That actually seems pretty good as the icons have big words. However, when you hit reply, you just get the regular keyboard and the mic is too difficult.
