atrix 2 doesn't boot after updating android 2.3 to 4.0

i updated android on my motorola atrix 2, from 2.3 to 4.0. the phone doesn't boot again. motorola online support instructed me on how to do factory reset. i did it exactly as directed but at the end the phone didn't boot. when i power it, it freezes at the motorola logo screen - the black screen that has the red motorola logo and the dualcore technology message. unfortunately, motorola usa can't fix it cos the phone was manufactured in malaysia. motolora support proposed 2 options to me, 1- call motorola malaysia, 2- call android support. so i though it would be good if i got to this forum, too. i look forward to get useful information from the android community.
