better keyboard..

ok here is my problem i came to a nexus 1 from a bb pearl 8120..i really loved the suretype on the compact qwerty keyboard as it would suggest words as i typed which i got really fast at.. so i downloaded better keyboard and enabled the compact qwerty board on it put a check mark in the box for it to suggest words but its not working...i know it has a dictionary but all i see is the one where youre able to add words not a stock one ..is there a keyboard out there that will do what i want it to and that is to act like a bb pearl keyboard with suretype

Swiftkey keyboard has some of the best predictive text I have seen in a keyboard. That being said I don't know if it has a BB Pearl layout or not. If you can get by with typing the first few letters on the qwerty keyboard then it may be the solution you are looking for.
