    Did anyone else upgrade the My Verizon Mobile app to version 5? I was notified about it and updated. It's much better than previous versions.

    The app puts up a notification that there is a new data usage widget. The problem is, that the notification never goes away. I've tried looking for it in the settings (which there are none) and I added the widget to my home screen but the notification has still not gone away.

    Anyone else have this problem?

    I think they updated this a few weeks ago. You're right, it look A LOT better than it used to.

    Thanks for the tips. I uninstalled and reinstalled and still have the same problem. After a fresh install, I get a message saying that my mobile number could not be validated and then it closes. Then I open it again and it pulls in my data but it still leaves the data widget notification in the bar.

    I'm going to uninstall and try to live a fulfilling life knowing that I can't use the latest version of My Verizon.

    I did the update as well and received the notification. I just click clear on the notification panel and it removed the item.
