Given that I can't store my stuff nor sync through a non-company controlled cloud service and that I can't root my device, I'm looking for an app like EverNote or OneNote that stores its files and settings in user-accessible storage (allowing me to use the sync tool of my choice; e.g., any of the WebDAV tools out there) or provides its own PC sync (Windows support is a must, Linux support is a bonus). And the notes have to be editable on other platforms (e.g., Windows 7), which rules out things like SNote, SuperNote, and so on.

I've found MobileNoter which actually meets my criteria, but the app isn't stable, is plagued by a quirky interface, has trouble rendering complex notes, and isn't updated very often. It's effectively unusable.

    Ideas?
