    I like mobisle notes (Free)

It does not automatically sync to gmail or the cloud. However, you can email your notes within the app to gmail. It allows you to make a checklist or plain text as well. It's a great little app.

Not a memo app per se, but GTasks is an android app that syncs with your google account and could be used for memos.

+1, that's what I do. Using Dato's GTasks, I created a new list and called it "Notes". I keep my notes in it and I can access them from within Gmail or Google Tasks.

Also JumpNote is a Google project but still under development.

Yes, you can. There are 2 GTasks in the Market. This is the newer and better one.

Besides setting a due date, it allows you to set a reminder that will go off and display icon in notification bar at the specified time.

Someone tweeted the dev about monthly reminders few days ago. He said he will consider it. Judging from the development timeline of this app, I would say it won't take long before we see that implemented. Not to mention it's integrated with Pure widget if you have that too

Note Everything has an add-on that lets you import/export notes from Google docs, and it has reminders, stick to notification bar, text/checklist/picture/barcode/durable checklists/paint/voice/galley notes,a quick add widget, live folders, and you can make shortcuts to just about anything.
    I completely love it.

I second Note Everything with the paid upgrade. I tried the Gtasks solution and it is OK but the desktop client is just all kinds of bad, regardless of the decent Android version. NoteEverything is really a nice well-rounded and thought out app.

No, but as you are changing the time, it does display it at top in am/pm format.
