I'm using the Free Power Widget and like it well enough, except the space it takes in the notification tray of course, and before I buy this is there another one I should consider? Any better free ones? I could just keep dismissing the reminder which is also OK but it is a bit annoying.

Ok, so I just bought Power Control Plus, really like it except for the color choices, but... I tried the 3G toggle and it broke my 3G! What do I do now. I'm going to try a reboot but this is bad. On an ATT GSM Captivate...

Actually though I am hating it on a certain level, maybe it isn't a bad thing. Rebooting gave me back my 3G, and I'm on a 200MB a month plan so turning it off occasionally is important. I just installed 3G Watchdog which I am really liking and I'll use this to 'kill' my 3G data when I start to get near the danger zone. Definitely not perfect and I won't keep it in my main widget but it has some value. If only my phone didn't take so long to reboot...

Just tried out an app called settings profiles it has a widget that you can pick your profile you want. Just set up the profiles and your set for example you want a profile for home to have wifi turned on screen to be set all the way up and no sound set it an forget it

I'm really liking Power Control Plus, especially that you can include a shortcut to other apps as an item, I put AudioGuru in line, I was using the stand alone ugly little widget it comes with and this makes it all very nice. You can also put, say, three app icons in a 1x2 space, so I'm trying to think what apps should logically be grouped and create some widgets for these, then i can move around the sets of related icons all at once. I need to think that through a bit though as it isn't exactly the quickest process, but it does keep the same UI and app workflow.

Ok , it doesn't work so well as a launcher :/ with a lot of apps in one widget it seems to slow down the launch of any app as it figures out what its doing. I tried 6 apps in one and it was noticeably slower than just clicking an app icon.

I use the built-in Wifi and Bluetooth widgets, and Brightness Profiles. It takes only 3 slots, and I can arrange the individual widgets however I'd like.

I used Power Control, but I had no need for the sync or GPS switches, and the fact that it used an entire horizontal row just didn't fit with my arrangement of pages.

there is a free brightness widegt called brightness level, that I love. There is also the built in widget and quick settings foudn in the market. I am goign to check out extended controls and see how it works.

I use on off widget pack has a button for all and is skinable Dec is also working on transparency setting.
