Instant Messenger

I just switched to Droid X from BB Storm. I'm instantly missing the BB Messenger app I used with a bunch of BB users and trying to find the best Instant Messenger to use. The biggest feature I'm used to using is sending pictures through IM. Any suggestions?

Take a look at pingchat. Free in the market and can do group chats, send photos, etc.

It needs to work out some bugs, but does a decent BBM replacement job.

Has anyone tried Kik Kik - Face-to-face texting I just came accross it today. It allows for crossplatform instant messeging.

Kik is pretty cool if you can convince your friends to also use it. There's the ability to message non-Kik users but it comes from a different phone number which I believe is randomly assigned which makes it confusing to your friends on who's texting them.
