What about installing a remote desktop and playing it through your computer, on the Android's screen?

    Also curious as to this.

Civ games are by far my favorite series. The touch controls for Civ 5 on Windows 8 are awesome and there's no reason it couldn't be made well on Android or iOS.

I don't really feel comfortable playing via remote desktop (lag, disconnects, etc) but an Emulator would be something worth looking into.

I attempted to play a game from Play Store called 'freeCiv' or something like that, it was a cheap imitation and very poorly made.

    SOMEONE MAKE AN APP

agreed . we need civ on android . befor games where mostly turn based . now we have better mobiles/games its all happening at once . but I think thats what strategy is all about . from chess , battleships , etc... turn based games are about pre thinking and watching the results . where as now its all about think fast (rpg etc...)
