I was thinking it could be handy to save some precious battery life by having the phone automatically turn the screen off when it's laid flat (or facedown) for more than a couple of seconds. Is anybody aware of an app that will do anything like this?

Is it that hard to hit the power button?

That said, I believe most HTC phones auto-mute when laid face-down. And again, is it that hard to hit the power button?

Kouki: I think Screebl does the opposite -- more that it keeps the screen alive when the phone is being held. I haven't been able to get it to automatically shut the screen off.

Sharkerbaby: Thanks. I'll check that out!
