Picked up an android phone, finally. Previously I"ve stuck with iOS and Windows Phone 8. But...Republic Wireless's service is just so enticing that I had to finally relent.

Anyways, the big things I'm looking for right now are a good offline GPS and a good music player. Offline GPS kind of important...now previously I've really loved Garmin GPS units, so if anything could resemble the performance of that, that would be awesome.

No idea about the GPS app you would like, but I love PowerAmp. Great music player.

Another vote for PowerAmp. Even though I don't use it anymore (recently replaced it with Shuttle + which was $3 less), it was a great music app. Has a lot of cool features that I didn't have on the stock music app.

Sent from my Galaxy S4 running SlimKat 4.4.4

Garmin makes an Android app. I'm not sure of its capabilities, but offline maps might be one of them.
