I have done a search, but I can't find anything in particular about this, especially smrtguard.
Two apps I have been looking at, and testing are Lookout and Smrtguard.
Lookout is about to have a wipe and lock feature on the new premium service, and I have been using the free one for awhile now.
I recently ran into Smrtguard and was trying that, but it isn't as high rated as Lookout on appbrain, even though it has more features and in my opinion doesn't seem as battery hungry as Lookout (although I haven't tested it as long as I have tested Lookout).
I noticed recently that when I did a find my phone on both, Smrtguard found my phone, but sometimes it took a couple tries, and Lookout found it after giving me a error about not able to send/receive SMS, but eventually it found it. I tried with and without GPS on on both apps.
Anyone have an opinion on these two especially Smrtgiuard as my trial is about to end, and before I pay any money, I want to know of someone has a good or bad experience about Smrtguard.
I find a lot of opinions on Lookout, but not so many on Smrtguard.

Thanks.

I can tell you that I've been perfectly happy with lookout. I (fortunately) haven't had to use all of the features it offers, but it doesn't use hardly any battery (if any at all).

I just installed lookout today and tried the locate feature and it all worked as advertised. Small footprint on the phone as far app size goes. Will find out tomorrow at work if its a battery drainer. "At this point" Im satisfied with the app. If its a battery hog, I will update this post.
