I'm basically looking to get an Android SMS and call notifications on my Mac, like Mac Yosemite/iPhone Continuity.

I ideally don't want everything routed through someone elses cloud/server. I also didn't like how MightyText uploaded all my contacts previously, so they're out.

And it looks like a lot of Android options require the installation of a Chrome or Firefox plugin, but I recently switched to Safari (big battery savings on a Mac). I still have Chrome installed though, and I think there is a way for me to still get notifications even if Chrome is closed, right?

Something that maybe uses Bluetooth or WiFi, like Android Notifier used to do (anyone know what happened to that app, btw?).

    Thanks.
