My Nextbook 7 (7P12-8G) Android version 4.0.4 lags and sometimes freezes, what is going on?

Nextbook 7 (7P12-8G) Android version 4.0.4 ... lags and sometimes freezes

Purpose for this device: occasional googling while on wifi, short notes, lists
What I've done: hard reset, and force-stopped several apps
Results: no improvement

What apps can be safely stopped, disabled or removed?

Please understand I am not very tech-oriented. (evident, right?)

Welcome to Android Central! Unfortunately, it may have more to do with the device's hardware or firmware. Nextbook is a relatively inexpensive brand, so the quality won't always be up to snuff.

If you give us a list of the preinstalled apps, we might be able to give you some advice on what to disable.

ALL of these were installed when it was taken out of the box = omigosh am I confused!
As stated earlier: would like to be able to Google search, keep a running grocery list,
make some notes here and there - hopefully by voice. Thanks!

There isn't that much excess bloat. A lot of it is typical system stuff. I bolded the things that I would disable.

Just an update: after following the advice from B. Diddy, I am able to do just as I wished with my Nextbook. I have experimented with 'force stopping' some other apps and have experienced increased speed. Thank you for the good advice!
