Is there any place to find .apk s or should we start some sort of repository here?
I find especially with Google Voice that I often have to roll back to previous versions because of some form of slow down and bug.

It'd be great to have a place where current and older version of apps could be found.

Regardless of whether it's free (which is what I'll assume you're referring to based on your example of GV) or not, the best and safest place to obtain an app is via the Market. If you're concerned about wanting to roll back to a previous version, your best bet is to use a backup program. It would be too difficult to monitor/moderate a thread dedicated to APK's.
