I was wondering if there was an app that would keep a record of my downloaded apps.

I am having issues with my phone and I am going to give it into sprint, and I am worried that they will reset the phone, and I will lose my apps. Just curious if I could have a saved list. I came from the Pre, and Palm would restore all the apps that you had downloaded, but I don't see anything equivalent on android.

When you get the new phone don't activate it.you need to bypass the activation screen, log on to the market using your gmail account and it will retain your download list . If you activate before you do this it will only retain purchased apps

Google's market keeps track of your paid apps. As soon as you set up your account everything will be there. Not sure about free apps but those can always be redownloaded without a problem.

Yeah, I know about the paid apps. But I have lots of unpaid apps, and I just want to keep a list of the ones that I have.

yeah so like i said bypass activation on the next phone. the list will be there, install them all , then activate the phone..... also you should just screen shot your list just in case

Yes there is. I don't remember its name but when I searched for mybackup on the market it was the results or in mybackup's related apps.

I know you don't want to have to re-download. But, as an all else fails backup, go low tech and write down all the app names on paper as well. At least then you have a hard copy if all else goes to heck. Just an idea.

Mentioned in post 2 but I'd also suggest syncing with Appbrain. Appbrain will keep a list for you.

Third vote for appbrain. Just remember to make a backup list of your app list and keep it current.
