I just recently purchased/installed the Tasker application and love it. Although its complicated i love the ability to automate everything.

My question is this: I previously used the Settings Profile app to create profiles for work, home, car, etc that automatically switched based on things like wifi, etc. I have figured out how to do the same thing in Tasker however I was wondering if there was a way to have it change a widget or an icon on the homepage that shows what profile is active. I liked in Settings Profile to be able to quickly look at the app icon and know by the color which profile it was on.

I'm sure its possible with Tasker- any suggestions?

The only way to have Tasker change an icon on the home screen is to create a named task within Tasker, and then create a widget on the home screen that executes the named task. You can then use the Set Widget Icon action in the task for each profile to change the icon for that widget.
