Youtube app

Whenever I search for a music video in the youtube app it never shows the actual music video. All it shows is fan made videos. Is that a limitation of the app or am I doing something wrong. Thanks in advance.

Alot of official music videos are makred as "Not viewable on mobile", so it isn't something you're doing. (OK Go has a few that can be viewed on mobile, but only a few... especially none of their older stuff.)

MowDown is absolutely right. It's a problem by the original channel on YouTube and the limitations put on it by the company that owns the rights to that video.

I have been wondering what the point of that is though. Why not make them accessible on mobile?

I am sure there is a reason but whatever it is has eluded me.

Because they can't slap ads on the video when you view it via a YouTube app? Not that I see them, anyway.
