Google camera

Hello everyone. I have a Sony xperia ZL, and the camera post processing wasn't very good, so I downloaded google camera which is better. Is there a way to set it up as default so when I press the camera button it starts that one instead of Sony one? Or do I always have to start it as an app? I'm on lollipop 5.0.2 and I googled some tutorials but they all tell me to "clear defaults" for the Sony one, but I can't do that since I've never been prompted to select either one as defaultm. Thanks a lot

Welcome to Android Central! By Camera button, do you mean a Camera icon/shortcut on the homescreen, or a physical camera button on the phone?
