Strange since day 1 (over a month ago) I whenever I get a email from eBay be it a notification that a item has been relisted, sales notification from a seller, etc. of any kind the date is 12/31/1969.

Its every day on any eBay messages.

Anyone else notice this and how do I correct this?

Thanks

I am pretty sure that this is an error on the sender end. They should be putting a date and time sent as part of the transmission over SMTP, but they are leaving the timestamp blank.

See Fake dates in headers: a problem? • mozillaZine Forums for a similar report.

Why 12/31/1969? I'm pretty sure that it's because, in Unix, time 0 is midnight Jan 1, 1970 UTC, and times are number of seconds since then. If the date field is zeroed out, and you are west of GMT/UTC, the date and time will be reported late in the day on 12/31/69.
