    I have tried every display adjustment I can locate. The problem is intermittent and only occurs with kindle. Any suggestions ?

    Hi try this. Go to the top of your Kindle. Scroll it down. Now you will see all your settings. Touch the brightness button. You will see a switch for automatic brightness. Make sure you click the button to OFF. Now your screen will be bright.

    If it is too bright,. Slide the white button along the orange line and it will get darker. I'm using my kindle and it never fails me. Good luck. One important thing ,. if you press the ON button, it will go dark. Good luck.
