I have a Nexus 5 running updated lollipop. I have a question about how the google Photos app manages files.

I have some older photos (from July 2013) that show up in photos, and also show up in google drive. The problem is I cannot find them on the internal storage in the normal photos folders, or anywhere else.

I tried deleting them from google drive online to see if they would disappear off the phone, but they did not.

So...any suggestions as to where these files are actually stored? My aim is to get the originals off the phone and wipe from the phone and drive.

    Cheers
