Cant download apps

I have an HTC Desire 320 version 4.4.2. Total space on my phone is 1.95GB and I have 90.20MB available, I have dowloaded nothing and I only have 8 photos on my phone. There is a 1GB Micro SD card in my phone and I have set the default write disk to SD card and try to download an app under 50MB it says insufficient storage!?!?!

Please help, I have been struggling to find an answer for 2 months!!!

Please HELP!!!!!!!!

Re: Cant download apps

KitKat does not allow apps to be downloaded to and run from ext SD card. Your internal storage is virtually full and clearing the cache will free up some space until you start to use the apps again. Your options are to replace the phone, remove apps or root the device and use Apps2SD although if you adopt that route you will need to purchase a larger ext SD card. The other issue is that certain apps may have been written to install on internal memory only.
