Is there an app for that?

I own a small private practice. I'd like to use a tablet to to allow clients to sign-in when they arrive in the waiting room. They would indicate their name, and select which therapist they are there to see. The therapist would then receive a notification on their mobile device. Is there an app for that?

I don't know if any app either yet how difficult can it be to set up a very basic inter face that triggers a notification to another device. I'm too old for that but I'm sure a 14 year old could write the code in an afternoon
