These appear to be the most popular and I assume the best options out there. I installed both (free versions) and have some preliminary observations that lead to what I want to be able to do so I want to post here with questions related to those desires.

They both have a setting to change the number of columns and rows for the homescreen. LP both 10 and ADW both 8. Which my assumption is this allows for maximizing the placement customization of shortcuts and widgits on the various homescreens. If so I'm having trouble getting shorcuts and widgets to snap to the grid. They appear to want to snap to possitions on the grid to leave several rows between the shortcuts and widgets. Am I doing something wrong?

ADW has more options for customizing the app drawer. Both have number of columns but ADW also has number of rows with the option for paging the app drawer rather than long scroll list. I'm not sure how much use the app drawer will be to me at this time. I assume most people put shorcuts to many, most or all apps in the homescreens. This was my thought anyways so that the apps are arrange the way I want them rather than A-Z like in the app drawer. Is there more to app drawer customization in the paid versions? Does it even matter because I should just do the shortcuts in homescreens?

There are some differences between them as well that I noticed. LP has multiple dock bars. ADW doesn't unless it is in the paid version? LP free version doesn't include the ability to resize widgets (ADW free does allow it) which with the custom homescreen columns and rows means at least one widget is not sized well and the info it displays is cropped. The other differences I think are minor and of no impact on which one I prefer.

Neither of these did I see any options for font size changing except for ADW notification bubble font size. At first glance there are two font sizes I want to be able to change: app labels in the app drawer and shortcut etc labels in the homescreens. Do either of them have these options in the paid version? And last but not least is there a detailed list of the stuff that one gains in the paid versions? That info may help me figure out which one is best for me.

So far I think I like LP better assuming the paid version features sell me on getting it over ADW. If not I don't think I would buy it just for the ability to resize widgets. And other than the multiple dock bars, two extra rows and columns for the homscreen options (which probably are insignificant to me), and slightly better settings arrangement I see no advantage of TP over ADW in the free versions. And neither of them appear to be able to let me use the samsung widgets as there is no item for them in the list like with the one that comes on my Epic.

Being able to add 3 docks with 5 apps in each puts LPP over the top for me. All else is comparable.

In addition, 3 docks with 5 apps each + swype functions for each of the 5 apps making it 30 total.

They both work great, but I use LPP so that's my favorite one.

Unfortunately the only way I can see deciding between the two is a detailed list of the stuff gained in the paid versions. Basically outside of that my only concerns are: Am I doing something wrong related to positioning stuff in the homscreens as I described? Should I even care about being able to customize the app drawer? And can I change the font size for at least the labels for shortcuts in the homescreens?
