New "app" installed- but I didn't install anything?

Hello. Recently I noticed my phone doing a download. I looked and it said new download complete for an app called "solitaire". Problem is, I never authorized a download of any new app. I dismissed the notification, then went to to look in my apps and solitaire is nowhere to be found. Yet every 2-3 hours I get the same notification from Solitaire "hi I'm your new app! Click to open". I'm thinking virus or something, I have not clicked on it, always dismissed it. How do I get rid of it?! There is seriously no Solitaire app anywhere on my phone. The only way I know it's there is from the notifications I get and they're seriously creeping me out. Help please??

Have you looked in your app manager to see if you can find it on there? Sounds more like this is just a pop up that is going to redirect you to some website if you click on it.
