I was reading about the tap 10 promotion to get a free Chromecast and looked at my app. But received no notification of it when I opened the app. Did anyone get or not get this promotion?

I haven't received the promotion yet either. From what I've read on various sites reporting the deal it seems kind of random who is seeing it and who isn't. I keep checking AP to see if it will show up. I'm using a 6p on at&t.

I got Tap 10 but for three song downloads, one each at 2, 5 and 10 taps. There doesn't seem to be an obvious rhyme or reason (although I'm sure Google has one) as to who gets the Chromecast offer vs. 3 songs only vs. nothing.

I didn't get one. Had my Nexus 6P for only a month. Have one card loaded with Android Pay and used it about six times. I did get the best buy promotion though. It's probably for the better, that's a lot of McDonald's I would have to eat.

I still haven't gotten it. I can use Android pay at the grocery stores I usually go to so I will be and to use it 10 times without breaking a sweat. Just need the promo to show up.

I have it for free songs after 1, 4 and 7 then a free chromecast. My first purchase counted (Best Buy) my 2nd and 3rd have not (Winn Dixie).

Nexus 6p on Verizon, and I already own a Chromecast.

I just contacted google and I was told that the chromecasts are being given away by a random drawing of those who qualify with the 10 purchases. I was also told that there was no need to opt in; everyone using Android pay is automatically entered. This doesn't jive with the information on The Verge announcing the promotion. I am more than a little disappointed.

Sometimes it takes time for stuff to roll out to each user. Google is looking into my above issue. But the way the card reads, you get a code for a Chromecast on the 10th purchase. The rules do say Google reserves the right to give an alternate reward of equal or greater value.

So spoke with a Google AP specialist earlier today and was told this Promotion is a total random experience; Present and new users are all equal and randomly will be chosen. Same with the gifts. There also may not be a generated page saying you're invited, you may simply see a green icon on the payment success screen of a tap and pay purchase.
Very confusing.... Random indeed!

I received the Tap 10 promo. I had only tried AP once, and it didn't work. The promo convinced me to try it again. So I supposed it was successful in my case.

I had used AP once prior to the Tap 10 promo. Only one of my cards is "natively" supported, and it happens to be the one with the worst rewards. However, I've found myself just using AP when possible as it's just so darn convenient.

I got the $20 Best Buy promo also, got a Chromecast with THAT one (only thing that interested me at BB after meandering for an hour), so I grabbed a ChromeCast Audio with this promo. I haven't set it up yet, trying to decide if I'll use it in my entertainment center so I don't need to run the TV to cast music or if I'll get a speaker of some kind to use in the bedroom.

I received my free Chromecast a few days ago. I already have one, but now I can set the new on in a different TV and not have to move my other around. I got the three songs and then I got a $10 Google movie credit for buying the Chromecast even though I didn't buy it.
