My wife rarely uses her phone so often she forgets it is even on. When she does want to use it she finds the battery has died. Is there an app that can just shut off the phone completely at a given time? She can then turn it on when she wants to use it instead of finding a dead battery.

This is my wife's tracfone running Android 4.4.2. The phone is an LG Ultimate 2.. I believe. My wife uses this phone mostly for playing games and almost never gets any calls on it. She could go days without even having it out of her purse so we are not worried about missing any calls or texts when it is off. Thanks for any help you can give.

    I haven't tested so...

It seems that for any app to be able to initiate a power-off, it will require the phone be rooted. Here's one: https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...owerOffShedule

And, what if someone tries to call her while her phone is off? How is that going to work?

I should have asked, by the way, what phone are we talking about here? What Android OS version?

Not "seems to be", must be.

    The call goes to voicemail.
