I am looking for a simple program to store contact info on an android device. I don't want to sync, dial, share date or locations or backup to the cloud. Just store the data on my local device. But it does need to store multiple phone numbers and email addresses and allow me to search and browse for a contact. I have searched all over and can't find such a program. Does anyone know of one?

Which phone do you have? The stock Contacts app on many phones allows you to enter contacts to the local Phone account, which doesn't sync anywhere (as opposed to entering the contact into your Google account). The main exception to this would be Nexus phones--mine don't have an option to save to a local Phone account.

It's a tablet. An ASUS ZenPad 580C. I thought the ASUS contact app did work through Google but I'll look again. Thanks for the help.

I'd guess that ASUS devices have a local Device account option--I'm pretty sure my ZenFone 2 does. When you enter a contact, look at the top of the contact entry screen for a field to select which account it goes to.
