My phone has been running a lot more sluggish lately, and tends to get hotter, and hit faster than it used to. I still have 50% internal storage left, so that's not a problem. I disable apps I don't use that can't be uninstalled. I have Gsam battery monitor to help monitor battery health, device temperature, as that seems to be a frequently recommended app for that purpose. However, though my device is running hotter and more sluggish, even with the aforementioned actions taken, Gsam is not showing anything that's really hogging very much of my battery to drain it.
I am suspecting perhaps it's possible there might be some Mal ware in my device, a galaxy s6 edge, that I got from clicking articles on Facebook. Even reputable sites it'll display some kind of pop up claiming I have x amount of viruses, and that I need to download an AV app(of its suggestion) to remedy it. Naturally, I'm not falling for that malarkey and bullocks, and I do not click on the pop up to do what it says. I go into app manager, and stop the app it shows up in. But 3ven so, performance issues are still abundant. So I suspect malicious activity from the pop ups, even though I never clicked them. I have Norton anti virus(free) and ran a scan w8th it, and it did not find Mal ware. Unconvinced, I tried a different one, Avast(free) ran a scan with it, and it didn't find suspicious activity or files either. So am I Mal ware free, or do I need to try different ones u til I can find one that can detect malware(provided there is any infecting my device right now). I know there are lots of viruses, and Trojans that are very good at being able to hide themselves from a lot of scanners, so what can I do?
