What does this do? It seems I can access my files ok.

    Is it a battery drain?.

It's primarily a file manager giving you access to everything found on your SD card and is very useful for managing media or for when you download things off of emails or the web. Astro can also show you a breakdown of what's taking up space on your SD card, be used as a task manager, and check md5sums which is handy if you're the custom ROM type.

Astro is basically a static app. It only really uses battery and runs when you are currently using it.

I just learned how to download new notifications and save them on my SD card using Astro! Very excited to have my old tones back. I did like my blackberry tones. Yay.

Does anyone use the pay version of Astro? Is it with it? Seems like a great app so far!

The paid version of ASTRO currently has one main difference than the free version - no ads - so you have to consider for yourself if it is worth the investment. Every user looks at this differently.

I thought the ads were slowing down the program and were in the way. For $4 I can do without the ads.
