i assume you mean the file manager. it's a more convenient and organized way to browse all of your phones files. it lets you see a lot more files than the stock file organizers so just be careful with what you're looking at. you wouldn't want to accidentally delete something integral to your phone's os. also, i think it's better for unzipping files if you need to do that. the free version is ad supported with banner ads at the bottom

In addition to what you would normally use a file manager for, I used Astro File Manager to move files wirelessly back and forth from my Windows Home Server. This makes it easy to move music or photos. This does require having WiFi turned on and a WiFi router on your network.
