Motivation for not having an app in the market?

Just curious what the motivation is for some companies to not have apps in the market?

For example, I didn't realize Teamviewer had an app until I went to their website and found it and installed it manually.

Just wondering what would be in it for the company to not have it in the market.

I'm going to go out on a limb and guess that it's probably because Teamviewer is based out of Germany and thus may not have access to sell on the Market yet. Not all countries can sell from the Andrdoid Market.
