This is probably a tough and unfair question, but has anyone stumbled across an android (mp3) music player that if stopped, will remember where in a track to resume playing?

I tend to listen to podcasts in mp3 format and my stock player restarts at the beginning of the track if shut down in the middle of a track.

    Thanks,

    Matt

Have you tried Google Play Music? I know that when I'm listening to my music library via streaming, it remembers where I last stopped. I just tried listening to a locally saved mp3 file as well (one of my custom ringtones), and it was able to remember where I paused, even after swiping it away in the Recent Apps list.

Also, PowerAmp - probably the best and most highly acclaimed player for Android.

I have a similar issue. I am looking for an "Android Auto" app to play my MP3 type podcasts, with the ability to fast forward or rewind. I cannot find one!

    Thanks
