Play Store Is Missing

I have a Stylo 2 and just updated the software and the play store is nowhere to be found. I also lost a lot of my apps... Can someone tell me how to fix this?

go onto Google Chrome and download the most recent play store apk.

Tried that, it didn't work. I have the app listed in my system, but have no way to access it and no way to restart it. I'm using a Moto X Pure.
