Since my Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge was upgraded to Nougat from Marshmallow, annotation text has become corrupted. This didn't happen immediately after the upgrade but after a couple of days. The problem is sporadic: sometimes N for knight and B for bishop appear looking like Chinese characters, and other times they are normal. I have tried uninstalling and re-installing the ChessBase app, forcing STOP, *and have even restored my phone to factory settings, but nothing has helped.*
The only thing that seems to help temporarily is to go into Settings in ChessBase, select Figurines instead of International, and then immediately select International again.*
What do you think is causing this bug? Is it likely to be related to the upgrade to Nougat?
Why are figurines not available for ChessBase for Android, or is there a font I could download?*
