Person based reminder

Hi all.

I'm wondering if in Android I can set a reminder such as "Next time I talk to mum remind me to tell her <x> happened today", and then - either when I phone mum next or she phones me - a reminder will show so that I remember to tell her what happened?

If so, is this something baked into Android or is there a particular app for this?

I am currently using a Windows phone but am considering my options, and this is one feature on Windows phone that I like and use a fair bit.
