Gallery apps and nomedia file

The gallery app seems to pull up images from just about any folder, which is cool except for folders where you don't want the images showing up like song albums, some app folders.

I know about putting the nomedia file in a folder where you don't want it to search BUT there are some deep folder structures and if I put it at the top of my music folder, then the music app doesn't see my music!

So is there a better way to have the gallery view only some folders without going through all of the individual sub folders I don't want shown??

YES! I have this exact same problem:

Album art shows in gallery, if I add .nomedia to music then it hides music from audio player.

Need something like .nogallery

? Does that exist? Did you find a solution?
