    I have just bought a new Lenovo Moto G5. I am getting used to it after Apple phones in the past. It basically seems fine but I use Amazon Kindle to read books a lot when I am commuting. I can load the up from Play Store but cannot then get it to operate. It basically comes up with a message saying "Unable to connect to Amazon. Please verify the WI-FI status and device date and time, then try again." However, the WI-FI status seems fine. I have removed app and reloaded it many times. I seem to get the same problem with the Amazon Shopping app which is less important to me.

    Welcome to the forum! Have you registered the G5 on your Amazon account? Is the information for your Amazon account current on the G5? Can you access your Amazon account through a browser from the G5?

    I know this is a slightly old thread but I looked everywhere for the answer to this (for myself) before I finally went into the Google Play store and updated Chrome and that seemed to do the trick. After a lot of frustration the Amazon apps work for me now.
