Not getting Facebook push notifications on S8

I have switched android phones 3 times in the last 2 years and I still do not received a push notification alert on my phone. I can see that I have a notification once I open the Facebook app or the webpage on a computer but unless I'm doing that constantly, I don't know I have a notification. I have EVERYTHING on as it pertains to Facebook notifications and I do received Facebook Messenger notifications through that app (if it matters) but ZERO on my phone. HELP!! This is driving me crazy and I can't find a solution anywhere.

FACEBOOK NOTIFICATIONS FIX>> log into facebook DESKTOP >> click on the GLOBE NOTIFICATION ICON >> click on MARK ALL READ >> then your notifications will work again you might have to do this from time to time depending how you clear your notifications,,>> NO NEED TO REINSTALL APP as others suggest,,,,,
