Google maps navigation volume(s)

Why in the hell are there two different volumes for the navigation voices? Seriously, what the eff is this crap?

One is my media volume, which I can adjust, there other is some whispering something. It's like "in 300 feet, turn left " loud as ****, then it continues "on something something Street" in an effing whisper.

That would sure cheese me off too!
Mine does similar, now I think about it, it comes up half way through the instruction so I miss half of what I'm meant to do!
Maybe contact the devs from Google maps with this...?
