Look, we all love that the Android Market does not have the strict "walled garden" approach that Apple's App Store does. However, maybe it's just me, but I would much rather prefer that the Android Market be somewhere in the middle.

Why do I feel that way? Because of "developers" like this...

Quick! Throw down 99 cents to get a link to download CyanogenMod!!!

This thread wasn't my way of trying to push my opinion onto anyone. I brought it up due to whether or not he actually could do this legally. I'm not an expert on GNU GPL but is it legal for this person to be selling/profiting off of selling a link to software/code that isn't his and is openly available down to the source? If this is legal, then I stand corrected and this falls under the "buyer beware" category.

The crazy thing is, it has "100-500" downloads!

**takes tomorrow off work to code app to sell link to Google for $4.99** I'll be rich! Rich beyond my wildest dreams!

Isn't it the responsibility of the user to simply not buy an app that sells free links?

Report the app as spam and we'll see how long it takes to be removed.
