I'm a VZW customer with a rooted ThunderBolt running BAMF with no City ID. The problem is that I kept the subscription after the trial period and am paying the $1.99 per month for the service. I figured I may as well keep it and pay since I couldn't delete it (prior to rooting) but now it's gone and I certainly don't want to pay the monthly fee for something I don't have now. I called VZW and tried to get it canceled but they told me they couldn't do anything about it since it's a service and that I had to unsubscribe within the app itself. I didn't think it would be wise to tell the VZW rep that my rooted phone no longer had it installed. Is there any way I can get this service stopped without having to unroot, go back to stock with City ID installed and unsubscribe, then root again? I'd really like to avoid that (if that would even work anyway).

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

Holy crap, someone uses CityID? Phil will be so disappointed

Just grab it from the system dump and install it.

I use City ID. I rather like it for those calls I get that are "private".

Try dropping it into /system/app and install it from there (use root explorer or something like that, and make sure the permissions are rw/r/r)
