Google play movies, download

when I download a purchased movie from Google play, can I put it on a tablets sd card? thanks

In the app settings you can select for your downloads to go to the SD card. That will NOT make the movies available there to copy to another device, that's not the point.

no, don't want to copy, just want to get a tablet and put a SD card in it. I figure is cheaper this way. also do u know if I can send Netflix to the card also?

You can. The first picture is from Netflix, the second from the Google play movies app. Both show the setting to change the storage location, both from my Tab S3.
