Black/grey Elephone s8 screen after calls. Only fixed with reboot.

Hi! Sometimes after a call, my phone's screen goes black and all I can do is reboot it using the buttons. However, the screen isn't a complete black. If i press the power button the screen is a dark grey and if i do it again it goes to sleep. I can do this how long I want.
I can hear the phone taking screenshots if i press the needed buttons. I have had this since I got it.
Phone runs the stock 7.1.1 ROM.

It sounds as if something may be wrong with your proximity sensor. If you have the phone in a case, or have a screen protector on it that has black across the top, take it off. Otherwise, take the phone to a repair shop. Getting service for those Chinese "almost an Android, but ..." phones can be a problem, though. (Any time you see an electronic product made by a company in Shenzhen, Guangdong, China, run, don't walk, away from it. They don't even list the S8 any more. and the chances that there are no more parts for it are pretty good.)
