transferring WhatsApp photos to SD CARD interrupted

[Android Central Question]

There was a huge number of WhatsApp photos so I thought to save space I will transfer to the phone SD CARD.

I disconnected when I found that it removed the photo from the chat but as a result I seem to have lost my photos for part of 2019. Is there a way to find it

What app were you doing the transfer with?
Were you doing a COPY or MOVE command?

Unfortunately, when doing a MOVE command and something goes wrong or is interrupted, often times the source and destination files are forever lost. When transferring files from one "drive" to another in Android, you should always do a COPY in case something goes wrong, then you can delete the source files after verifying that the transfer succeeded.
