When will my Galaxy Tab S3 get the Lollipop update so it can be compatible for Android Auto use?

Will android ever come out with a lollipop update so it can be compatible for android auto use?

I'm not really sure Android Auto was designed for tablets... or why you would want to use a tablet instead of your phone with Android Auto.

Android Auto runs fine on the 4 tablets I've tested: both N7's, N9 and Z2.

Some people might not want to plug their phone in to act as the "smarts" of AA. Or (god forbid) they might not have a phone.

Or they might use IPhone but prefer Android Auto over Apple Carplay.

There could be hundreds of reasons that could be imagined; Different stroke for different folks; customizability is part of what Android is about, for enthusiasts/power users at least.
